When you're just getting started in the exciting world of Forex trading you may be confused as to how to begin. On the one hand there is automatic Forex trading software that promises to do all the work for you while you sit back and let your equity accumulate. On the other hand there is the option for you to learn to trade Forex through getting the right Forex education. Let's explore each of these options.
Our first option that we will explore is the use of automated Forex trading software. This type of software is typically created by independent vendors. These vendors design the software to work with your broker's Forex trading platform. The most commonly used of these platforms is called MetaTrader. This is how it all works. Once you purchase the automated software you then install it into your platform. Once it is installed you are essentially ready for it to start trading. Your software takes your trading platform's Forex data and runs it through its formulas. The formulas perform calculations which may or may not lead to the generation of a Forex trading signal. When a signal is generated the trade is automatically placed for you without your intervention.
What we have just described sounds like a dream come true doesn't it? I mean, if all we have to do is buy the software and sit back and let it generate profits for us then we would have it made in the shade. This would be ideal if it actually worked as planned. The biggest challenge is that unfortunately some of the software simply does not work… And because its logic is hidden you would not be able to tell whether or not it was functioning properly. This is why it is advised that you learn how to evaluate the trading system before you purchase and use it.
On the other side of the coin you have the opportunity to use Forex education to learn to trade Forex. If you really think about it there really is a learning curve associated with any new endeavor. Proper training is an essential part of running any business. That is why makes perfect sense to take the time to learn to trade Forex properly in order to be the most successful. There are many books, tutorials, seminars, schools, and webinars available for the beginning trader to choose from.
In my very humble opinion you would be much better served to invest the time and effort in a good Forex course to learn how to profit in the markets. The challenge with automated Forex trading software is that it is only as good as the person who created it. Without knowing their level of competency it would be difficult to feel comfortable with leaving your Forex trading success to such an unknown quantity.
Yes I think proper forex education is the best option, even if you want to use a robot.. great article, right down to the point, very realistic.
